“Tilt” Gets Appendages

by

Still have a small backlog of fanarts, or farts as I like to call them for short. Little backed up with all these farts. Today’s submission is from Himanshu Modi, literally hand-painted on his iPad with an app called Procreate. I’ll let him explain it in his own words.

“Can you not make a sort of a platforming game out of Tilt to Live… you know like Gauntlet mode in the iPhone, where you have a sense of going from left to right like a platformer, but where instead of dying, you end a level, say after a minute, with a boss fight? It’s easy enough to picture right? You could have a cool story about how Tilt is out to save the world… or, well, his girlfriend.” (His name’s actually not Tilt, it’s You. That’s a little How to Play trivia.)

Hats off to Himanshu for imagination. We gave him an arrow with a circle under it, and he turned it into a blockbuster!

The Legend of Tilting to Live

by

We’ve been sitting on more than a few worthwhile fan art pieces the last few weeks, so how’s about a post? Today’s selection came to us from Kyle, a US Marine currently serving in Afghanistan, who enjoys writing comics when he isn’t in real & immediate danger. My favorite panel is definitely the last one, where Link looks surprised, but not terribly upset.

Ladies & gentlemen, it has just come to our attention that we’ve left one of our winners unrecognized! Congratulations, Jo5hman, for this impressive feat! You win a blog post in our Hall of Champions, commemorating your impressive title. You were mighty close to almost the top, and we salute you. Two Beloved Icons… Well, One At Least

by

Submitted by Danny Trewin.

I like to imagine that the Arrow sawed that ‘stache off with a spike shield, using a custom tilt calibration. Then attached it to his face with a tiiiiny vortex.

The Sincerest Form of Flattery

by

There’s a hot new game sweeping the iOS world, and it goes by the name of Tilt to Fly (99¢). Some people seem to think that sounds similar to a game we made, but that’s more than a little presumptuous. See in our game, the goal of the tilting is to live. In their game, it’s to fly. TtF also features a robust and satisfying weapon arsenal, including the Frost Circle, the Squiggly Push, and the Not-a-Burnicade. Buy it right now. We certainly can’t put it down!

Tilt to Live Released on PS3! Kinda.

by

Our jaws dropped when we were linked to this Youtube video last week. A fan by the name of MRcheese911 (and that’s not an alias; it’s his real, given name) had both the skill and the patience to recreate Tilt to Live with the level editor in Little Big Planet 2. If you happen to have a copy of LBP2, you can play it for yourself by searching either “Tilt to Live” or ” MRcheese911″. We don’t know whether to hug him or sue him. Just kidding. We’re hugging him. Suing people is really expensive.

Can You Diggit, Fireball?

by

We actually received two fanart submissions from codename: diggitfireball. One’s a video montage, with some editing magic performed on practically every piece of Tilt to Live footage on the internet.

His second piece is hand drawn and entitled: Tilt-amous. It’s apparently a fantasy crossover of Tilt to Live and the PS3 game Infamous. That’s the strangest idea that has ever been had by anyone, so of course I’m posting it.

Not Available in the TtL Store…

by

…This stylish Tilt to Live sneaker, hand-painted by the indigenous people of… I’m not actually sure where he’s from. But Graham Connell put some time into crafting this puppy, and we’re honored to have inspired him to deface his Reeboks. Some free merch is on its way to the house of Connell.

If anyone else feels inspired to create some fan art, send pics to contests at onemanleft.com. If we decide to post it, we’ll buy you one item of your choosing from our store.

Game II post coming Friday.

Now this…is how you Tilt to Live!

by

This video that was in a comments thread for one of our posts and I wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention. The Gauntleteer achievement requires players to play survive 10 minutes of Gauntlet, and Zago-ITA pulled off one of the hardest achievements in Tilt to Live without losing a single life. This guy makes it look easy :). He knows how to tilt to live.

It is a 10 minute video, so if you want to see some of the highlights click here instead.

Hats off to Zago-ITA!
