Gone GDC’in

With an early build of the new gametype in tow, we’re off to the Game Developers Conference for a week of learning and fellowship. If you stumble across us at the conference, be sure to ask for a demo of Brimstone Pinball. It’s still young and in need of feedback, especially in regard to difficulty.

99¢ Back Catalog Sale!

by

Back Catalog Sale!Hold on to your hat, get out your wallet, and put some pants on. Was your wallet in your pants? Okay then, now get out the wallet.

Every single game & IAP in our back catalog has been slashed to 99 cents for a very limited time! This includes:

We tried to slash the price on Tilt to Live 2, but our money-knife exploded into hundreds of pieces upon striking its titanium hide. You’ll have to settle for everything else we’ve ever worked on being ONLY 99¢.

Act now, these prices won’t last! Hnnngh… I can already feel the normal prices returning. I’ll hold them at bay as long as I can. Don’t worry about me! Go! Save your money! Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggghhhhhhhh.

Outwitters 2v2 Update

by

Outwitters IconIn an overdue effort to keep things balanced in the land of Outwitters, 2v2 has been updated with a first-turn advantage fix similar to our 1v1 rules. This solution addresses the concern that when second player takes their turn, their team starts 5 wits behind first player and plays catchup. The new way this works is:

  • Team 1 gets 5 wits.
  • Team 2 gets 7 wits (starting 5 wits behind, but ending the turn 2 wits ahead).
  • Team 1 gets 5 wits (starting 2 wits behind, ending 3 ahead).
  • Team 2 gets 6 wits (starting 3 wits behind, ending 3 wits ahead).
  • From here, all players get 5 wits at the start of each turn.

If all this sounds odd to you, know that it sounded weird to us too when the concept was first introduced on our forums. With this tweak, each player starts their turn playing catchup on wits, but gets to end it a little bit ahead of the person before them.

Tilt to Live 2: 1 Dot 2 Dot 1

by

Tilt to Live 2 IconYour eyes do not deceive you. Tilt to Live 2 has another new update on the App Store, even more stable than the last. If this game gets any more stable, we’re going to have to fill it with horses.

This version specifically targets iPhone 4s users who’ve been experiencing mild-to-severe memory crashes, and in rare cases, death. If you’re a 4s user and this update doesn’t solve your problem, please let us know.

Tilt to Live 2: 1 Dot 2

by

Tilt to Live 2 IconSeems that even after version 1 dot 1’s performance tweaks, some older devices (iPad 2, iPhone 4S, & 5th gen iPod Touch) were still having issues with memory-related crashes. Fear not! 1 dot 2 is on the App Store, and it’s filled with the vitamins and nutrients your phone needs to run our game. If you had issues getting through the tutorial or crashing on retry and quit, this should get things running smoothly for you. If crashing persists, we’d recommend rebooting your device after installing the update to help clear things up. Happy dot hunting!

Tilt to Live 2 Update 1.1

by

Redonkulous 1.1 is now live on the App Store! Here’s a summary of what’s new:

  • Added Tilt Sensitivity slider, and increased the default sensitivity for tighter control.
  • You can now turn on Old School mode to play with NO bosses and NO revives. Just you against the dots!
  • Fixed some crashing issues for older devices.
  • Records page now properly tracks your Code Red stats.

And we’re not stopping here… Stay tuned.

Best. Fans. Ever.

I’m not going to lie, we were pretty anxious about Tilt to Live 2. 2013 was on track to be our slowest year yet, and Tilt to Live felt like it might be old news. Did people still exist that knew what a Tilt to Live was, or had all our fans died of old age in the two year interim?

Launch day, you showed up to support us in a big way. We cracked the top 10 in games on the App Store for the first time ever, and reached #15 in top overall. The past few days of sales have been the best we’ve ever seen, which is obviously a fantastic shot in the arm for our company. We cannot thank you enough.

We’re going to take a few weeks off to restore our sanity, then jump into filling that “New Gametype” section with something tasty.

Tilt to Live 2 Now Available on the App Store

by

Tilt to Live 2 IconWe’ve been working hard all year, and Tilt to Live 2: Redonkulous is finally available on the App Store! It’s a universal app, so if you have at least an iPad 2, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (5th gen), or newer, just click the icon to grab a copy. If you’re on the fence, you should check out the trailer and see if it looks like your cup o’ tea.

We’ve also made the soundtrack available for streaming or purchase on Bandcamp, for those of you that like really strange swing music.

A hearty thank you goes out to anyone that bought anything we’ve put out over the past 3 years. It’s your support that allows us to keep these amazing jobs we stumbled upon, and we look forward to crafting even more redonkulous experiences for your future enjoyment.
