
Mission accomplished! I aimed to have all of the 3D assets for Mage Food Truck‘s entrée maps ready to ship by the end of July, and those levels are in the bag. All that’s left for a shippable game is a pair of menus and some card FX. A lot of these last items revolve around the Bard’s role, which I can’t BELIEVE I haven’t been able to show off yet (because the art was all ugly/placeholder)! He’s like, CRUCIAL to the gameplay, so that’s something I look forward to highlighting in the release trailer.
No luck getting into two of the showcases I submitted MFT to, but there are still a few left that have yet to make their selections. Every indie showcase (and Next Fest) seems to have 1,000+ applicants, so the scene is just hyper competitive now. I don’t envy the people that have to dig through all of those submissions!
Showcase or no, I’ll be selecting a release date for Mage Food Truck soon. A Q3 launch is looking very doable!
