#$%!

by

Without further ado (well, maybe just a little more ado) we now decode the codename of Project Codename, Tilt to Live‘s next expansion. First came Code Red & Gauntlet mode, then Frostbite & the Burnicade weapon. Coming this December, cover your children’s ears for the new Turret’s Syndrome gametype and the Perforator turret.

The graphics envelope has been pushed, the spaghetti western musical theme is coming along beautifully from composer Whitaker Blackall, and I’ve already witnessed significant battery drain from gameplay (this is how we know when we’re on the right track).

The Turret’s Syndrome expansion will be released for the iPhone version of the game first, with an iPad edition to follow. You will not want to miss next week’s post for a first look at the Perforator turret (in mid-perforation, no less).

Wow, I hope this is gonna be a stationary turret that shoots at dots. Although I have no clue what the new game mode will entail. I’m so excited. πŸ˜€

  2. Someone says:

    Yay! But still no multiplayer.

  3. Avenged110 says:

So looking forward to this! Everythings all mysterious and unknown…

Sounds great. But if you don’t mind in the update can you fix some lag and crashing menu and loading screen issues in the 2nd gen.

3 hopefully uncluttered thing that hopefully don’t make me think of more things:

1: The iPad update should also have iOS 4.2 support and new loading screen messages.

    2. This only leaves purple. Go purple!

    3. Music preview please? :’D

  7. @Someone, I believe they’ll be releasing a music preview of my new song on their next blog!

  8. Someone says:

@Whitaker Blackall: Yay! You can tell I’m happy because I wrote it in bold.

  9. reed says:

Are you guys going to make it so red dots go across the screen and if they make to the end you lose a life, but to prevent them you can set up the turrets (much like field runners) or use special techniques like vortex or spike ball with the little white guy.

  10. Someone says:

@reed: Make a less specific guess. You have a better chance of being right that way.

  11. reed says:

@someone: yeah your right i just was trying to picture it, and had my thoughts get out of hand πŸ˜›

  12. Someone says:

@reed: It obvisouly involves turrets. We just don’t know how it’s going to be used.

  13. The suspense is captivating! You’ll be pleased, don’t worry.

Sweet! I can’t wait for the next update. By the way, for clarification’s sake, this will be a free addition, right? I’m just curious. Anyways, keep up the great work!

  15. Someone says:

The suspense is killing me! Just tell us when it will be posted!

  16. GMarshal says:

DEVELOPERS!!! This is great game but if u guys would add icon of superpowers somewhere on screen that would be very awesome i think every one will like it thanks for reading and making such a great game.

  17. Someone says:

I swear, you’re torturing us on purpose.

  18. Vinh says:

Can you guys please add gyroscope support because my back & neck really hurt after staring directly down at the screen for an hour or 2. It would be cool if I could play this game with be back against the chair, or while lying down in bed. Steering doesn’t really solve this problem. I play the game “Top-Down”.

  19. Someone says:

    Still… being… tortured…

  20. Adam says:

Does it help if I mention I’m not updating until Friday?

  21. Someone says:

    Quite a bit, yes.

  22. Ronnie says:

I think the new mode may be a turret in the middle of the sceen with dots slowly creeping in from the sides, and the turret opirator ( mr arrow ) has to shoot them down before they get to the turret.
    Just a guess.

  23. Super Volcano says:

Yes it does, because that’s tomorrow.

  24. Someone says:

@Vinh: Use regular while sitting in a chair, and set it upside down for lying down.

  25. David says:

cant wait for the update! oh and how about adding a “time pause” trigger one that will slow down the dots movement for a few seconds?

or maybe a magnetic trigger? when hit it moves across the screen and causes all the dots it passes to stick to it? thou they form into a super giant dot!

or a warp trigger? it jumps the arrow to another part of the screen?
