TtL HD is in the Mail

by

You can consider it in the mail if you used free, 5-8 day super-saver shipping. We submitted the release build to Apple yesterday, so we’ve penciled in September 30th the official release date. So on September 30th, barring some misfortune, expect to grab Tilt to Live HD for free. Free to play Classic with 4 weapons, $3.99 to own it all.

Hi, you can find an article about Tilt to Live HD on the German iPhone gaming magazine iPlayApps.de:

    and the iphone “HD” version?

  3. Person says:

The HD version is 3.99, while the iPhone version is 2.99. The iPhone version seems to be a bit expensive, compared to it’s Ipad counterpart. Are you guys planning to make it free to commemorate the release of the HD version?

    • Alex says:

@Bernardo iPhone retina graphics and gyroscope are coming early october

@Person We think the pricing of the iPhone version is still reasonable, but we’re certainly listening to any feedback on the games themselves and their pricing.

  4. Tom says:

@Person You have to realize it’s only a resolution bump. It’s not like the game is different somehow. I’m assuming you didn’t buy the app yet but you really should it’s only 3 bucks. 3 bucks for hours of entertainment.

I want to see an update to the iPhone versions graphics though. I just got the new iPod Touch and it would be nice to see the update. Maybe you guys could do an in app purchase thing for like a buck to download the update if someone really wants it (like me).

  5. Person says:

It’s not the pricing of the iPhone version I’m concerned about, it’s the pricing of the HD version. I thought that it would be at least 4.99, as opposed to the current price. Most HD versions of iPhone apps tend to be twice as much as the cost of the regular app.

@Person While we imagine a lot of current TtL players may check out the HD version on the iPad, there are a lot on the iPad that may have never heard of the game. We put in a decent amount of work to getting it running as a fully native iPad game, but we don’t think new users should be paying double compared to what it is on the iphone and old users shouldn’t have to shell out a lot more than what they paid on the iphone to try out the full HD version, so I feel we’ve struck a good middle ground for now to accomodate both types of audiences.

  6. Person says:

Ah, I understand the message now. Instead of focusing solely on marketing and profit, you would rather have the support and loyalty of your fans. I was looking at it through a economic standpoint, rather than a moral one. Thank you for the clarification and the continuing the great work on your products.

  7. Bahn says:

    @Tom.
Did you watch the HD trailer? It’s a tad more than a gfx/resolution bump. In fact, as an iPhone use sans iPad, I’m jealous of the upgrade! I’m gonna have to save my pennies for one now. Kudo’s to OML for improving more than just the looks! I’m looking forward to what additions you will bring to the iPhone. ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. Sera says:

HELL YEAH!!! i will BUY it despite the fact that i do NOT own an iPad! i just want to support the devs and hoping that a retina update is coming ๐Ÿ™‚
maybe new game modes and weapons, too!

    question:
can i transfer my highscores, achvs. and everything from my ipod 2g to my ipod 4g? i do not want to loose all my progress :/

  9. Alex says:

@Sera Thanks for the support! As for transferring your scores, if you have an AGON online account and know the username and password (be sure to update or check this) if you simply log into that same username on your new device it should download all your awards and scores again.

  10. Lloyd says:

I am definately looking forward to getting an iPad just to play this game ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Bernardo Ferrari says:

Will the “AWESOME” graphics be compatible with iPhone 3GS – or only the 4?
Suggestion – Multiplayer -> bluetooth and/or by internet (e.g. fruit ninja with game center))

  12. Someone says:

@Tom Er… “One Man Left Studios will be releasing Tilt to Liveโ€™s iPad incarnation this September. More than a mere resolution bump, the HD edition will feature completely revamped weapon effects, four times the arena space of its iPhone counterpart, and optimized tilt controls for the iPad platform. Itโ€™s bigger, itโ€™s prettier, and best of all: it will be free to try before you buy.”

  13. Someone says:

This would probably crash if it were on iPhone. Unless it’s an iPhone 4. Go A4 processor!
