Sugar & Spice

Sugar & Spice is what I was calling this first update for Mage Food Truck, now I’m leaning toward the God of Food Trucks update. Whatever I end up calling it, it’s free and I’m aiming for a late-November/early December release!

The “spice” portion is two new Scoville challenges (difficulty settings you can add for a score bonus) which will up the max Scoville to +80%! The first challenge is Surprise Me, replacing the ‘Fair Warning’ boss hint with your choice of a generic hint or another boss! The second is called Demotivated, and it limits how many of the Bard’s Lv 4 Special cards you can unlock (the remaining unlocks are replaced with a new card called Absurdium).

Sounds too hard! But that’s where the “sugar” portion comes in! One-starring both entrées will earn you the attention of Delectabus, God of Food Trucks. During any entrée run from then on, you’ll have the ability to purchase boons (like a 6 card hand!) and boost the value of your delivered recipes.

This is a pretty heavy buff to the scoring system, but your highscores and achievements will be safe! The only thing that will change is how many stars those scores are worth in the entrées. I intend this to be my FINAL tweak to the core gameplay, so I want to make sure to get it in before I start looking at new scenarios.
