Year of the Ship

by

Happy 2025 Year! It’s time for a look back at another year of full-time indie dev (est. 2010).

HEX GAMBIT: RESPAWNED CAME OUT THIS YEAR! That’s my first solo-shipped project since Alex’s departure, first published project on consoles, first MegaGrant-ed project. Probably the biggest thing I’ve ever worked on content-wise, and IMO the best game design I’ve ever shipped. It did not set the world on fire, so… I would call it an underrated creative success. If you enjoyed it and didn’t leave a Steam review, PLEASE help me out with that!

Indie game dev is tough, and it ain’t getting any easier. Thankfully, the work I’ve been pouring into my next project over the past few years should pay off in 2025. Self publishing is the quickest path to get my next project, Mage Food Truck, onto a store (Steam), and it’s the most appealing option at the moment. Back-to-back OML launches would be a nice change of pace after so many years of drought.

Thanks as always for keeping up with One Man Left, and best of luck with your hopes and dreams in the 25!
