Of the map pool we’ve been testing, we’re narrowing things down to three new single player maps and two 2v2s to include in our 2nd Gen Maps. If the poll we set up stays true, it looks like we won’t be retiring any of the first gen maps. At least the chances of you landing on your least favorite map will be watered down with the new additions.
We’ve been looking at analytics data since the last update’s Bramble buff, and it looks like he still needs a little help. So in 1.6, expect to see thorn patches with FOUR health. And we’ll keep cranking that number up until the damn thing works.
I’m kidding. We changed something else about Bramble, which you’ll see when the update hits. We plan to submit next week.

ha, ha, ha, your bramble thorn health joke worked on me. my first thought was omg what are they up to… I agree that the latest change didn’t help much to strengthen bramble. I am curious what the change will be.
pls also consider changing the legue points system either back to the original system or to something more meaningful (ideally corresponding to the true player strength rating)

Great news! Hehe you got me to with the bramble thing 😀 Curious about what the real fix is. Most times I tried to use them I just ended up blocking myself. Would be great if bramble could remove individual thorns att will, that would make them far more versatile!
I second changing the league point system, now it feels a little bit pointless.

I think the briar patches should have 3 health but deal one point of damage to entity attacking… ya know from getting stuck by thorns. Well except for snipers and bombshells. I love this game, but Bramble is too defensive minded and you can’t win by just playing defense.
Yeah you can. Just annoy the living crap out of the opponent until he/she gives up. 😀
Actually, the bramble can also be helpful in tactics involving visibility as well.

You can also use it to take over extra wit spaces
And also cut opponents forces off while launching an attack, that would count as offensive use I guess 🙂

I would love for the barriers to do damage, but I think that would be too unbalanced (Bramble spam = win).
Being able to remove barriers would be really useful if it didn’t cost any wits.
