Thank you so much for your analysis, swimj!
I will follow your tips for sure. Anyway, that's just a coincidence I didn't use any seahorses in that game, as I usually do a large exploitation of them XD |

In the early game the runners' job is to be fairly close to you base and provide vision for you. On turn 3 you move up with both runners and the opponent can easily kill them. You also need to defend you snipers as they are so costly to create. On turn 5 and 11 you moved out with them and lost them the next turn to runners. Either boost them with a medic or put other units in front of them so the opponent have to spend a lot of wits to kill them. His bottom runner is threatening yours. It is important to have vision of the backdoor on this map so you should have a really good reason to move your runner. The problem with what happened is that you started a runner exchange where you needed two moves to get to him but he only needed one move to get there. On turn 6 the position is similar but he has killed your runner b/c of the exchange. Can you find a better move than moving the bottom runner? * Notice the subtle difference between turn 4 and 8 on the top half of the map. On turn 8 he has to move two times to attack with runners, while you only needs to move once. So any runner exchange here is great for you. Soldier spam FTW |

RE: Need advice? - Post your replay!
So here's a Foundry rush I'd never seen before. Basically throws his Soldier forward instead of taking the wit space. I'm ashamed to admit I was caught with my trousers down; I didn't even have a response to it, and lost on Turn 5. My jaw is still agape! Is there a good player 2 opening for Foundry that scouts and prepares for the common Foundry rushes?
Owned in a wicked flash... |

I think it might be better to take the wit space with your runner and move your heavy ABOVE the wit space. That way, the heavy can get to the soldier on the next turn. Admittedly, you will lose at least 2 base health, but you would also stop the aggression. Fortunately, OML is (I think) planning on moving the soldier BACK a space in the first patch. This would take him 3 turns to get there, giving P2 more time to prepare. I AM THE 99.9997%! |
