A fact about FTA I feel like dispensing today.
Here's a fact for you guys. I like to improve the general level of theory, in the hope that there will develop more sufficiently challenging players that will exercise my abilities a bit.
FACT: There is no significant First Turn Advantage (FTA) due to wits any more. FACT: There is still a half-unit First Turn Advantage (FTA) from unit count. FACT: Unit count First Turn Advantage (FTA) matters the most in maps with lots of wits, and a single spawn space. These are facts, which you can clearly see on the new maps, Reaper, and so on. |

I've been working on ways to counter the third turn mobi but its pretty tough unless your opponent makes a mistake/doesn't expect the counter mobi. On the other hand I win almost all my first turn games. 1v1 2v2 with dakdak97 and boyoxneder gc:connor3491 |

Yeah all very true, they just aren't possible to completely balance out, instead more focus needs to be on creating fairly balanced map designs into consideration. The spawns does significantly reducuce fta, although on those such as sweetie plains it hasn't got that much of an impact

I haven't kept track of my win/loss but I do pretty well going second. 1v1 2v2 with dakdak97 and boyoxneder gc:connor3491 |

RE: A fact about FTA I feel like dispensing today.
You forgot one aspect of FTA, which is unit placement. P1 is first to act and thus has first opportunity to stake a claim on territory, which often has a meaningful impact on gameplay.
It'll be GG when you're up against GG of GG. |

Yes, I did forget to mention unit placement. This is most obvious on Foundry, where P1 can safely move sniper forward, but P2 has to move medic back.

FACT: There is significant bias present in the poll options.
