RE: Do females play Outwitters?
Umm...
'kay? How would Necrocat know my gender? I haven't suggested anything one way or another. And the rest of you guys! ... anyways, as for the male vs. female debate, yes, Outwitters is as gender-neutral as I've seen in any game. There is something like anti-female animosity in a lot of gaming circles, especially amongst FPS and fighting gamers (and don't even get me started on Pokemon Showdown), but that isn't as big of an issue on the iOS platform since the demographic here is primarily casual gamers. But something that's being left out is the unspoken overall taboo that "attractive and popular women shouldn't be into videogames". Most girls that I've met avoid playing videogames, especially competitive games, because they think of gaming as degenerative behavior (i.e., something loners do when they're, y'know, alone), consciously or unconsciously. Unless their boyfriends are into them, in which case it's okay (i.e. counts as socializing). ... correct me if I'm wrong, though. Gamecenter: Emuchu Top 200, #34 "How'd you fix it?" "I just employed a blunt-impact mechanical stress routine." "What?" "I kicked it." |
