RE: Reducing Time Limit for Turns
I'm worried about people that play Outwitters while walking. This game takes concentration. That, and professionals shouldn't be walking around distracted as such. You're a representative of the hospital, or your private practice.

RE: Reducing Time Limit for Turns
Whoa now, there's not really any need to criticize someone for playing Outwitters between tasks, IMO.
It just gave me a happy picture of the attending physicians on Grey's Anatomy playing Outwitters instead of working. |

RE: Reducing Time Limit for Turns
Some people can multitask, I guess. *shrug*
For example, I am not able to accurately and thoroughly brush my teeth whilst cooking spaghetti. |

RE: Reducing Time Limit for Turns
Now that the bug has been fixed, I am happy with the time limit.
Questions: Does the rating algorithm take into account a time out victory vs. an actual victory? Does the rating algorithm take into account a forfeit/resignation victory vs. an actual victory? Damn it Jim, I'm Dr. not an Outwitter didgeralien ...winter is coming... |

RE: Reducing Time Limit for Turns
Don't believe so. Pretty sure a win is a win no matter what kind of win it is. Also a loss is a loss no matter how many points you hit their base for.

If it did than even more people would be pussies and just leave their games to time out when they are clearly going to lose. Again, I hope not because then people would simply start forfeiting games they are clearly going to lose as a means of minimizing the impact on their rating. I think forfeiting your turn is a good suggestion. Perhaps it could be another game type, or is that too drastic? If the game was changed to forfeit your turn instead of your game your wits could not accumulate!! That option already exists. If you don't have the time to make a proper turn but, don't want to forfeit your game, just hit done. 5 secs, next?! didgeralien ...winter is coming... |
