In the early game the runners' job is to be fairly close to you base and provide vision for you. On turn 3 you move up with both runners and the opponent can easily kill them. You also need to defend you snipers as they are so costly to create. On turn 5 and 11 you moved out with them and lost them the next turn to runners. Either boost them with a medic or put other units in front of them so the opponent have to spend a lot of wits to kill them.
