Question for those who 5-0'd Placements

I am in a similar situation myself.

I was in a similar situation with something like 15 or 20 straight wins since the reset. I was beating Super Titans without getting promoted. I finally did get promoted once I lost. I think it's due to the way that our MMR is calculated. If it is like Starcraft, we have a skill value and a range that describes the algorithm's confidence in our assigned skill. While we are on a winning streak, our skill increases, but the confidence in our MMR decreases. It can take a loss to increases the algorithm's confidence in our skill to the point that it will actually promote us to a new league.

tldr: The loss that ended my winning streak got me promoted.
