New extremely effective reaper opening
I just got utterly crushed by kee_23's reaper p1 opening!

Yeah, the problem is its extremely enticing to kill the heavy and if you do that you lose, how would you know to make a medic unless you knew about the opening?

Edit: I'm not saying its impossible to defend I'm just saying its awesome lol

Dang it does look really strong
Edit: Yeah it can be easily blocked if you know exactly what they're doing, but if it's your first time seeing it, it's pretty strong.

All my openings for reaper are variants on that. It's always been effective. (Unless I blunder. For which there's no excuse as things are pretty mapped out. You can also keep the heavy higher up and use it to attack the witspace.)
The general idea is to harrass the wit space, kill the sniper, and move yours down the right.

(I blundered turn 9 by moving units in the wrong order . Runner should have spawned first and killed runner. But had I not done that it would be a guaranteed win.) [I was at a friends house Tongue; still annoyed I don't get reaper very often and it probably cost me my master's promotion Smile Sad ]

I'm a bit disapointed that this is now known, as it is very counterable. The opening is pretty telegraphed. :/ Smile

The key to stopping it is just moving the heavy to the right spot.

Hey man, this isnt really new. Its been around for a while. If they dont take their witspace first turn you should expect this, spawn a medic and use your runner to protect your sniper. Its s tough rush if you arent expecting it!

That was a really cool use to the bramble to end the game though!

seems easy enough to identify early. If they don't get their wit space, they're doing that rush.
