What league are you? Because the higher your hidden rank, the more likely you'll be P1, as I see it. In 1v1 I'm gifted and literally 90-99% of my first game started are P2. In 2v2, where I assume we are somewhere near the top in hidden rank, we get P1 90% of the time. The system is pretty backwards in that sense.

I think that's a indirect consequence of having less players of similar skill to battle you, which places your game on the queue, hence making you P1.

I'm master level (borderline ST hopefully) but I'm high enough that when I have a P1 game it sometimes waits out a day before matching me with gifted plaayers because of strict matchups
