2v2 FTA beta testing

If I install beta to iPad mini and keep current version on my iPhone, can I start original rules matches with phone and after first round continue them with beta build on iPad mini?
New rules first round can be played only with device with beta build installed, but can match be continued few rounds with iPhone and then I return to iPad?

If I play player 1 or player 3, who gets 5 wits. Can I participate as an opponent to those who have installed the beta build?

Also I have iPad 2, no iOS 7, that I could use for beta test with new Game Center ID. But iOS 7 is mandatory?

iOS 7 isn't mandatory. As for continuing matches: not recommended. A lot of times the sandbox, despite having the same username, gives you a different user ID (one valid in the sandbox), so continuing the match on a non-beta install wouldn't be possible. Sometimes it's worked, but the workings of the sandbox user account management has always been a bit iffy.

You don't need to complete matches for the beta. it's mostly just to see the first round of turns working and verify there isn't any overlooked errors in that portion of the game.
