Bump bump BUMP! What ??

Sorry i'm french and i still don't understand english.
But please, explain to me why there are posts like 'Bump' anywhere on this forum ??

There's a forum bug where posts that force a new page don't get displayed until someone else posts. So the standard thing is to "bump" the thread so that the new page shows up.

Apparently this is an error which happens on old versions of MyBB but OML is busy with updating Outwitters (and recently TTL). They'll probably get around to it eventually but I guess it's not really a high priority at the moment. Until then, here are a couple things you can do:

• Eijolend pointed out that you can view the hidden posts by pressing 'New Reply'
• Also someone else said that you can increase posts displayed per page which may help.

The actual meaning of making a post saying "bump" is to keep a thread alive. Say there is an important thread (replays, ideas, etc.) but nobody is posting in it, then it will slowly get pushed down the list of threads. To "bump" the thread back to the top of the list of threads, you make a new post in the thread.
Of course, most of the bumps here are just people fixing the glitch.

Its kinda funny, one of the other forums i visit, bumping gets you a warning.
