OK, so here is my report. I was playing this match, and about twelve turns later, it was my turn again. I play my move and I was sure I killed a sniper. But when the guy played his move again, all of my units were back to the position they were in before I killed the sniper, and the sniper was back into play, and the turn count was somehow rewinded to the turn it all went down. I couldn't tell if it was a cheater or a bug, but this was the only time I saw it happen. It was like I played some kind of imaginary move, or a re-recording or something.

I know the incident didn't happen in the replay, but this is where it happened.

I have played my turn again, too. More than once. If this bug happens, fog of war is removed, and I do have more knowledge of opponent units. Only once I altered my move, because of what I had seen. It was more to test the bug than cheat ;-)
Also several other players have reported to tumble on this, having to do the move again. Opponent does not have knowledge, neither replay show this.

I think it occurs whenever they do server repair, put out a new season, or release an update.

Maybe it was something that got screwed up as the new season was wrapping up. That's the only guess I have.

Clearly something A&A are gonna have to handle.

Strangely it happened before the new season started. I just private-messaged A&A. Hopefully I'll get good news from them.

just won a league match, but the game crashed right as it went to the stats screen. opened up the game again only to find the match is being treated like a friendly game instead of league (no points given for my win). my opponent says it's happened to him a few times. bummer. is this common? any was to fix/rectify it?

You should still have been awarded points even though it doesn't show then on the "game over" screen. I know it's hard to tell, but did your league points go up on the division page?
