Crashing means try deleting the app and redownloading it, you won't lose any data or games if you do.

Finish the turns that you have started or opened first though. This is extremely important otherwise you won't be able to open them when it reinstalls.

I'm pretty sure what he meant is that the opponent uprooted a thorn patch, and he saw the uproot happen in the fog of war, whereas he shouldn't be able to see the uproot happen.
