Question: will something be done about scallywags turtling on peekaboo in this tournament? Only on special or ban scallys on that map for example.

If not I'll probably just resign my pekaboo games if I face a good opponent and plan to win the other games instead

I doubt scallywags will be banned on Peekaboo.

SvS is also a problem for SweetTooth.

In my previous tournament, I just negotiated with my opponent on turn 2-3 to restart (on SweetTooth) because we both picked Scallywags initially. I'll do the same if a tournament rule isn't put in place.

Part of the problem is that in a tournament that enforces using different races, and where Scallywags are a strong team on both maps, a high percentage of players who are planning ahead will be saving Scallywags for those maps, which will result in a lot of mirror matches. I'm not suggesting any rule changes or anything, it's just bound to happen a lot.

Awpertunity is looking after the maps but we did discuss this issue a while ago and agreed that peekaboo will not be part of the map pool at all.

As Torbreck said, we are planning on not having Peekaboo be a part of the map pool at all.

The map pool for the group play round will be:

Foundry
Glitch
Reaper
Sweet Tooth
Long Nine
Sweetie Plains

Each player will play 2 games on 5 of the 6 maps above.
