Ow do I sign up for a tournament?

Well, when a tournament opens, you just post on the tournament thread. Usually there will be a form of posting on the first post of a tournament. If the tournament has already started, you cannot sign up.

I would add to that if you want to keep updated with new tournaments etc then it's not a bad idea to subscribe to the forum so you get an email. (link at the bottom of the page)

I think subscribing to the forum just let's you know when new threads are created (e.g. a new Tourney) but doesn't spam you with every post within the threads of the forum - i agree - that would be..... 'unhelpful'
