RE: Weekly Top 200 - 8/2/2013
I don't post replays anymore because someone used my own replays against me. haha
My playstyle has changed a lot since then but I have already gotten used to not posting my replays

That's not going to protect you because the ST group is so small. If you play predictably, it will eventually be determined by the crowd you play against. For a given map, don't use the same openings and attack pattern on every game.

I've been posting all my league games since I entered the top-200. If somebody looks at my replays and is able to predict my plays, shame on me - I shouldn't be so predictable.

One time I tried studying my opponent's replays to predict what they did, but it back-fired and they did something different. Fortunately, I recovered. That game happened to be a replay of the week. I don't think I'll be trying to predict using opponent replays anymore.

It was a long time a go thrutchy. I have changed the way I play a lot since then. I just got used to not posting replays anymore. (Though I think its more on trauma than force of habit. haha)
Well anyway, I don't have replays that are worth posting lately. Most are 1 sided and no fun to watch.

Well I feel comfy about where I am now, in masters and where a small mistake is possible to recover from, it's more suited to not fully thinking

I'm currently taking a competative break. Am up for friendlies and tournaments!

I used to share the same goal Tongue I was really motivated to climb until I became a ST, then to slowly climb until I got into top 10, that started to become a reality but I eventually stabalised around 40 playing Feedback, I got really burnt out after wanting to get into top 10, and tried adorable again ( got me into masters so nice to try them buffed Tongue) I did about the same, but made big mistakes more often and started throwing away games. I've fallen to now and am playing properly with veggies now ^^ the turning point was when I decided to look at garcia10000's online footprint; I saw he was constantly topping at other turn based games and was 1-10. Seeing that's the milestone I had to reach (and still want to! I would love to learn and become that good!) I've come to the conclusion that I'm not that good as I am at the moment. It's not sad, just how things are Smile

You already reached top 10? Nice!

I can say exactly the same as you as for the burnt out thing, it started after I reached top 5 and saw reaching poweewee was impossible. I then kinda threw my games away too and didn't really play for one month, but my bo3 against powee motivated me to play seriously and I started some league games again.

Concentrating a lot may appear like taking the game too seriously and not having fun, but in my opinion this is what makes it all awesome, so, maybe you should try, I'm sure you can reach the top!
