I'll make it if I take the time, but with school starting in a week, I might slow down. I'll get there though. Back to the alt, it's the idea with mmr, it's easier for my alt to jump up faster, so it was faster to make an alt and get up faster. For example, say my alt was at 500. I have played like 5 matches, so I play a match and jump to 550. If that was my main, which has 300+ matches, it might only go up to 501. Doowhat? Doodat? RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
Actually its very easy to rise up if youre actually above your current level.
On my understanding of the hidden rating it not about the number of matches you have under your belt. Its who you are up against. Lets say your main account has 300+ matches and a hidden rating of 500 and your alt account with 5 matches and 500 hr. If you play with the same person(lets say 550), you'd get the same amount of increase in hr on which ever of the two accounts you use. |

RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
That's partially correct. However, due to the rise of new players, all new players, at the beginning, are given a huge skew in hidden rating. This means that they have the ability to rise up and fall down very quickly to adjust to true level. If you had compared 100+ to 200+ matches, that would be very similar. The hidden ranking skew should pan out by around 50 matches to a base formula, but with new players, a key example is if you win all 5 placement matches, regardless of opponents' hidden ranking, your next match will decide whether you are placed into masters. Makes sense? And whenever I try to start a friendly with you, it says "Player does not exist"

RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
Well i think the placement matches just sets you up for the base HR. Once you finish the 5 placement matches you get your HR
ie. (placement matches) 1 win= 100hr 2wins= 200hr ... 5wins= 500hr then it goes from there. Where do you get your information anyway? mine is just my understanding of how the system works. |

RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
From reading up about ELO system, which is what most hidden rating systems use. And from past knowledge. Usually they start you off at a hidden rating, say, 500. You go up or down. From what I've seen, you move more often at the beginning. One example would be the ranking system of various video games such as League of Legends.

RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
No. its not my purpose to be argumentative. I'm just curious if youve found something that i havent. Cause earlier you said that i was partially correct so i assumed you based this from facts. -that you knew what the correct one was

RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
I'm pretty sure that placement divisions, ie fluffy, gifted, st, require at least the first few games, and a couple after the first few placement matches to have a different weighting than later matches. Idk, I may be wrong. Sorry, I was implying that I knew exactly what was going on and I don't.

RE: No one expects you to scramble Runners
I also apologize if I seemed like I was going for an argument. I just thought that maybe I missed an announcement or post that the devs made explaining how the system works. I was curious cause I also want to better understand how the system works.
