Maybe this was discussed before but I didn't see, how are the top 200 determined?
By hidden ranking?
Or by a combination of # of games play n the win ratio? ( that's probably how hidden ranking is determined)

by a hidden score which we dont know how its calculated.
think of it this way.
imagine youre in the ranked list. if you beat someone higher than you, you get more points.
and of course if you beat someone lower, youd get less points than beating someone higher than you.
in losing its the opposite.
you lose more if you lose to someone lower ranked than you and you lose less to someone higher than you.

i dont really know for sure but thats how i always pictured it.

Like... Do I need to play more games? Or it's a combo of more games won (I think that'd obviously help too) but would more games played helped too?

you get to the top 200 by being in the top 200 in hidden rating. ò.ó
you get into the top 200 if your hidden rating is among the highest 200.
how can i explain this..

everyone has a hidden rating.
and the 200 highest hidden ratings gets their names posted on the list.
you increase your hidden rating by winning games.
you get more points for beating someone ranked higher than you.
you get less points for beating someone ranked lower than you.
you cant tell youre opponents hidden rating unless theyre high enough to get into the top 200.
(even then you still cant tell. its still hidden but you can use the ranks to compare)
yes you need to play more games but you have to win them to increase your hidden rating.
the hidden rating is hidden.
it doesnt have to be a combo. it largely depends on who youre playing with.
20 straight wins against fluffy players will probably get you less points than beating 1 ST

this is all based on my understanding so im not claiming anything there is a fact.
feel free to corrct me if im wrong.

keep your win % above 50% and you will get there. how fast then depends on how much above 50% you are and then how much you play.

It is not necessary to play more games. For scrambler baby, it got in top 200 after the ~12 wins. So, I guess you have to beat other players to increase your hidden rate, less than 200 active player's hidden rate is higher than you, then you will be top 200.

Interesting... So scrambler baby got I to 200 only after ~ 12 wins
I think placement also matters which league you were in, n if its lower league I think it somehow takes more effort to climb

I had a similar experience like scrambler baby once I was promoted to masters. But I started in clever, so it took about 60 wins to get there (almost all wins).

I'd guess that something like the chess Elo system is used for the hidden ranking.
