Why didn't he block your spawn on turn 8? That would have been game over.. Is that a common Gifted mistake? Genuinely curious.

Um, seems like it. At gifted, hyper aggressive and go for base is first priority, unit count and spawns aren't as important.

Interesting... you'd think that even trying to be really aggressive would lead you to put a unit on their spawn if you can.

Different people have different priorities and maybe aren't as cognizant of how many units your opponent has and how much damage your opponent can do.
