Standard openings for different maps?

It seems when I start a match I kinda just randomly do something for the first turn or two with no rhym or reason to my end strategy. I think a lot of it has to do with not having a set opening for the different maps I think.

Can anyone suggest some type of all around openings or some good ideas of things to do on the first few turns?

I just searched up that topic. That's honestly what I was looking for, it's a shame the thread didn't take off. The game is still new and it's quite frustrating to realize only a few turns in that I wish I would have had a better more solid first few turns. Especially when a game can go over the course of a week with people's play schedules.
