Brambles can jump over holes?
Is a bramble's ability to jump over holes a bug or a feature?

Thorn Gulley is the only map there is big enough hole to test your claim.
And bramble can't jump over that hole. On the other hand thorns can jump holes, which can be demonstrated on that same map.

Yes, I think he meant growing thorns across holes.

RE: Brambles can jump over holes?
Yeah, I found that out recently as well, much to my dismay. I think if brambles lost this attribute it would be a good thing. I hate playing against people when they use brambles because I find the game boring even though I usually win. The only unfair advantage I find that brambles have is the hole "jumping" ability of growing thorns.

Yup, apparently they can; I've seen it used on Glitch and Reaper. I'm not sure if it is logical that it can pass through holes.

It's a ranged attack, where a sniper can shoot, a bramble can grow thorns. It makes sense. The bramble unit itself cannot jump pits, no unit can.

This will almost certainly be removed. It doesn't make sense and isn't necessary.
It's a hold over from when Bramble's were grossly underpowered. (and possible a coding hack where for various reasons using ranged attack instead of normal movement kept something from breaking or having to be re-written)

Happy to accept friendlies! (Could use the practice. ; )

Disagree with this, growing thorns has more in common with a unit movement than an attack. Evidence:

1. The result of the action is a new obstacle in a previously empty hex, just like a unit movement
2. Attacking and moving are further differentiated with the new bramble, since a thorn can either grow (move), or attack in a given turn, just like a normal unit.

Thus, it doesn't make sense that thorns can grow over empty hexes.

It'll be GG when you're up against GG of GG.

Plus, thorns can't think with portals.
