At least it will educate those that don't play 2v2 and were jumping down our throats over the idea of expanding ST. It feels odd to say I'm #5 in the world but not in the highest league. Either way, it's nice to have something to reach for that I can actually see.

The top lists don't actually prove either argument correct, they do show that you were right about which teams were closest.

Consider this for an analogy: women's hockey. Canada and USA are the elite, than there's 50 feet of crap, and then there's Sweden and Finland etc. Sweden is the #3 country in the world, and yet they're not close to being elite. If Canada and USA were ST, then Sweden and Finland would be in gifted at best. Now I'm in no way saying that you and your teammate are 50 feet of crap behind the ST's, but it does show that your numerical ranking and your actual skill level are two different things. Probably based on the rankings though you are very close.

I don't think anyone here believes that there is a huge skill gap between #2 and #3. Anyway, the devs already validated that there is an issue with 2v2 ST.

And I didn't say there was, just that a numerical ranking is separate from a skill ranking. But there is a gap between 2 and 3, and somewhere in between is the promotion threshold.

Yup. That's true. Well, actually I think it's a bit of a fuzzy line...we've had cases where a Master's 1v1 player is ranked above a ST 1v1 player, for example. But yes in theory that's correct.

My guess is because as I've seen stated somewhere, they've lost a total 5 games? I think I read that somewhere, but can't be sure, if I'm wrong someone can correct me. Anyways, I don't think anyone else can make that claim (with the exception of the #1 team).
