I don't think there is a huge gap in skill between super-titans. There IS a huge gap in points, true, but that is not necessarily proportional to skill. alanthefast has the most points of any ST, but he is ranked 59th overall.

It should be apparent that there is essentially no correlation between points and hidden skill. In other words, don't worry about your points if you only care about your skill.

Yeah while I was very much on the wait and see side of things concerning the new point system, whatever Alex's plan was it's either not converging fast enough or at all.

My guess is the high ranked players with few points have played very few league games recently. Me for example I won a couple of games during the time you got almost no points, and then I lost a couple of games after they changed the point system and hence 0 points.

(By the way, seems like you drop off the top 200 list if you haven't finished a league game in 3 weeks or something like that).

When you are one of the highest ranked players you tend to get a lot of friendly game invites so just because they don't play many league games does not necessarily mean they are inactive.

That's true. Some highly ranked players may just not have played much league since the update. Perhaps what is more relevant is the second set of information. Who has the most points? The fact that the 59th ranked player has the most points and the 83rd ranked player has the 4th most is rather telling.
