RE: 2013 Winter World Cup - QUALIFIERS
If a 3-way tie happens you could always go back and look at turns or just have 3 more matches(personally I would suggest 3 more games since nobody has been playing for speed, which means turtlers would be at an unfair disadvantage).

Hehe, they will be back for the Group Play round! No, seed will not be used to reconcile any ties.

Oh, then how are you going to reconcile cases where two people are both 6/0/0 in their pool? For example.

How can two people go 6-0-0? If two people go 5-1 then I look at just head-to-head. Only thing I'm worried about are 3-way-ties but for now just hoping it doesn't occur haha.

No, sorry, I mean how are you going to seed the 32 player elimination bracket in the group stage? Suppose two people go undefeated in their 7 player pool - how do you determine who gets the higher seed?

It'll be GG when you're up against GG of GG.

Ohhhh, yeah there is no real way to compare their skills then. Go ahead and check the new attachment for how it's done ;p

I apologize for doing this but I had to change my Game Center name bc it was causing issues with other games due to the greater than and less than characters. My name is now cardgurl
Sorry for any confusion.

RE: 2013 Winter World Cup - QUALIFIERS
Maybe I missed it or didn't know the rule, can you please let me know if there's a certain way that a player should challenge another player on a certain map listed in the group?

For example, if I (listed in the row) am suppose to play with mx666 (listed in column), on a map that's listed on my row, I should start the game?

N if its listed on their row, I should wait for them to start the game?

Can you please verify n point to me where I might have missed, or it doesn't matter? Thanks!

- he replayed yesterday he have a slot - I tried to invite him - no free slot
- wrote him back - he said it's already taken....
I say this is not a sport cooperation. I don't have to agree to start the game for him in that case right?

I understand that's annoying but I'd prefer you keep trying periodically until Feb 2 or so. If he still has no slots by then then it will be his fault not yours.

I think that it would be great and less random if 2 best from each group would play a best of 1 match.
When you look at the greater number groups (20+) you may notice that there is only 1-2 higher rank players and the rest is just clever-gifted without a big chance to compete at all.
The point is that in such situation, when you add lack of best of 2 etc., two top players meets in single scenario - one starts as P1, the other as P2, 1single map, no play-off and so on.
I understand that we have many participants and there's a lot of work with the tournament, but such circumstances adds too much randomness imho.

In group 22 I still haven't received a challenge from kkiw. It also says he's at his game limit..
