Catchup - Abstract Strategy
iTunes Link
$2.99 I think this game is very fun. I don't know if there are any fans of abstract strategy board games around here, but this app is a solid implementation of this game. There is even a well-implemented AI that adjusts to your skill level. The game was designed by Nick Bentley, a cool game designer whose page is here. His Catchup page is here. The app just came out recently so matchmaking doesn't really happen, and as far as I know there are no leaderboards or anything, but it might nevertheless be fun to play some friendly games against each other. So far I've just played the AI up to about level 9 or 10 but I have no idea how many AI levels there are. Probably many, many more. |

RE: Catchup - Abstract Strategy
Well, I haven't been playing it a lot, though I do still stand by my statement that the game is great. As far as I know, still no matchmaking. I have not played a human at this game, so I can't vouch for GC challenges working and all that.
The app is not popular, so matchmaking may never be implemented. |
