el*tabasco and I are going at it in two matches. I can't start the tie breaker match because he is at his game limit. Slow turn taking, could be a while.

Not saying this because I'm out - but I think that tournaments this important should be run in double elimination format in the future. Everybody's got a bad day once in a while or gets to play on a map they don't like two out of three times in round 1. Smile

I have to agree with Harti. Not only that, but i think it will run things smoother, because you can make matches just one game. I also think we should run this once every 6 moths, instead of the initial 3, to avoid overkill.

Actually, before Szei left (exchange trip) he mentioned that he wanted to space the tournaments out more to avoid having them back-to-back and the subsequent burnout/lower turnouts this would cause. He said he was going to hold out on suggesting this on the forums though so that players wouldn't take the extension as an excuse to play their games more slowly Tongue

He didn't tell me his exact plan, but 6 months sounds good. I'll shoot him a message when I get a chance. As for double elimination, that makes sense too, especially if you two agree to extend the tournament out to 6 months or so.
