Right. For example, you'll probably reach the top of your division point wise by playing a lot, but promotion works differently. You get promoted by winning more than losing. Eventually you'll start playing the tier above you, then after you win more than you lose against the tier above, you'll get closer to promotion. There's no set time/number of wins though.
