When you put it like that, and there's 28 games being played (not including playoffs), that does change things. My opinion still stands: shorter would be better. However, in reality, with that many games, history shows that 4 months would be way too optimistic, and 10 months is probably closer to reality. But who knows, maybe if people are gung ho about it and play their games faster (in the first 4 or 5 months), we'll realize that seasons could be shorter. But you're right, that's unlikely.
