i think the best move at that point was to kill my shell with splash and heavy, boost his soldier, boost his shell in middle, and move a soldier down. I didn't have enough wits to kill back his now boosted soldier and his shell.

This was a super fast-paced game (more than 100 moves finished in 3 days), so there are quite a few mistakes on both sides here and there.
