Hitting the base twice with runners is not usually done, but hitting the base once with a runner as Adorables is often done on this map. A lot of times, it seems like Long Nine with Adorables is all about saving up enough to do the two-mobi finisher on the base. Since you can easily hide a runner that can hit the base, as long as you get it to 4 HP, you can do what he was trying. It's one reason I always felt P2 against Adorables on Long Nine was disadvantaged. It's hard to block access to the base to prevent P1 Adorables from hitting the base with an early runner. But if you let them do that, then forevermore in the game you will have to be very careful to never let them get enough wits to do two Mobi-s, or move a soldier further forward than unusual to prevent them from finishing off the base with two mobis. If you want to prevent P1 Adorables from hitting the base as P2 though, it takes an investment to do so. You usually have to move soldiers from bottom or other moves which slow down P2 plans and generally cost an extra wit or 2.
