Sometimes it's better to just let your opponent hit and run while you efficiently continue to make units. It will cost your opponent typically 4 wits to mobi one unit back, while losing one unit, and sometimes using extra wits to move to the right spot. If they're teleporting 2 units back, it costs them 5 wits and most likely only cost you 4 wits.

Just build up a big enough bank of wits and go all in for the attack.
