Fortunately unfortunately

I have another game for you people that like poppycock to play! Here is how it goes:
-I will start it off with a statement.
-The first person to respond will post something that begins with "unfortunately..." and will say why what was mentioned in the first statement didn't work out so well
-The second person to respond will post something that begins with "fortunately..." and it will
-The third person switches back to "unfortunately...",
-The 4th person switches back to "fortunately..."
-etc, etc, into perpetuity

So here is the starting statement:
a soilder named bob was just created for two wits

remember the first person should reply with "unfortunately..."

No trying to end the thread please aka: someone dying, everybody was sucked into a black hole etc.
