I think we all have those days..... (Maybe with the exception of joelduque, poweewee and Alvendor :-P)

I agree with those who said that often loosing games are stacked up and shit was not happening on the day you realise it but probably on the day before when you thought you are a supergenius

I found my best strategies against bad play/bad outwitter days in your notion are:
1) don't make moves when you are tired early morning or late evening.
2) don't make moves when you are in a hurry.
3) limit the number of games you play simultaneously. I feel I can manage up to around 10 (including friendlies and 2v2) once that number grows my gameplay deteriorates.
4) make sure you have factored in all available information when making the moves (replay!)
5) take your time and think through different strategies even if you think there is just one obvious winning strategy in the beginning.

Unfortunately I do not stick to my own advice all too often. This correlates highly with having a bad outwitters day shortly thereafter...
