It's surely not as devastating as you seem to think it is. No more so than the other special units. And you should buy the Uber Pack for sure, to support OML.

Usually you can tell when an opponent has made a special unit, even if you haven't seen it yet. Here's a simple game involving a scrambler near the end. I was actually caught a bit by surprise w/ this one. Anyway you can see how it turned out.
