I'm leaning towards the camp of keeping all the levels as they all play different from each other. I'd rather see some imbalances fixed on a few.

Yes, your bramble has been quite a nuisance on Acrospire.

It seems to me that the meta game has dealt with turtling on its own. I don't really see it much and, if I do, it's my own fault.
