[aaronINdayton wins!] "All your unit are belong to us" tournament
From the people who brought you the micro strategic starting unit tournament, we present:

the All your unit are belong to us tournament

Game Format
  • You are only allowed to build or destroy Scramblers. In other words:
  • You are only allowed to create scramblers.
  • Normal units are not allowed to attack normal units. Scramblers and bases are fair game for anything that can attack them.
  • Scramblers can brainwash anything.
Signups

Total of 19 players from any league/rank. Please make it clear that you would like to join and give your gc name. Keep in mind that it could be difficult to keep track of these games if you play a lot of friendly games as Feedback.

Bobolynx has a free entry due to being the "mastermind" behind this format!

Tournament Format
  • Two groups of 9 people each, selected randomly.
  • The top three players from each team will battle it out against each other in another single game round robin.
  • The players with the highest amount of points will be P1 3 times instead of 2.
  • In the event of a tie-break, lowest average rounds of games won will be used.
  • Tournament will start on 27 January.
  • Player with most points win. Points will be allocated:
    • 5 points for a win and either
      • +1 point if your winning match has less rounds than the average amount of rounds of all the matches.
      • +2 points if your winning match has less than half of the average amount of rounds.
      • +3 points if your winning match has less than a quarter of the average amount of rounds.
    • 0 points for a loss - you only receive points for a win.
    • The maximum amount of points you can reiceive for a win is 8 points.
    • The average number of rounds of all the matches will change after every game. The quicker you manage to finish your games, the less points other people will receive - and the more bonus points you will receive.
  • Player 1 can choose the map. All maps are valid and work using this format - even Foundry can be fun.
  • Every player will play 14-18 of these games. If you feel that it's a bit too much, wait a bit before starting your P1 games. Try to have 1-2 of these games going at all times if you can.
  • Keep us updated on the forums if your game(s) are taking a long time. I won't disqualify anyone if they are still busy, but I don't want a "never ending tournament" either.
Additional rules
  • Remind your opponent about the tournament rules if you are player 1.
  • Should you build or destroy a unit that is not a scrambler you lose the game, unless your opponent agrees to a rematch or to build/destroy the same unit.
  • If player 2 chooses the wrong team, it should be a rematch.
Posting results

Please post your results in the format:

Results are here! - please note that there are multiple sheets in the spreadsheet.

Hints
  • Watch out for the Spawn Spot rush. It's easy to defend against, but you can easily lose the game at round 3 if you don't watch out - remember, you can't kill any units, even if they are on your spawn spot.
  • Watch out for scrambler chains. It's easy to lose most of your army in one turn. 2v2 Example (round 21).
  • Your heavy can be your worst enemy.
