(Started!) 8 person tourney, gifted, clever, and fluffy

Hey space chef im not sure how long these things normally takes to fill a tourney, but if no one else joins will we cancel the tourney or do it with 5 people?

We could easily do it with 5 people though. Just do round robin with each player playing every other player a set amount of times. Then award 3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss and if we set a turn limit such as 50 turns or so, then 1 point for a tie.
After round robin we could then send the top 4 guys into a double elimination tourney to get a winner

And im not saying we have to do it like this if we do go with 5 people, im sure there are plenty of ways we could do it.

But signups seem to be slow to me so what i really want to know is how long will you wait for others to sign up?
