OSN ST Statistics (3/11 to 4/10)
OSN Super-Titan Statistics

I can post the whole file later but I don't have time at the moment. I have win-rates for each map in each matchup (mostly only useful in AvF and AvS as the other matchups don't have enough games).

Now that OSN automatically tracks all games played, I thought it would be interesting to see where the balance rests amongst top tier players.

The following statistics include all 550 games played in the past month which included at least one Super-Titan player.

Matchup Specific Win/Loss
Percentage corresponds with win rate of first team listed
AvF: 49.48%
AvS: 46.49%
AvV: 50.72%
FvS: 48.00%
FvV: 74.19%
SvV: 78.95%

Overall Win/Loss
A: 48.44%
F: 52.71%
S: 55.11%
V: 38.66%

Matchup Specific Special Usage
AvF 58.2% 55.6%
AvS 68.1% 57.3%
AvV 60.9% 46.4%
FvS 64.0% 64.0%
FvV 45.2% 67.7%
SvV 68.4% 57.9%

Overall Special Usage
A: 62.7%
F: 56.0%
S: 59.4%
V: 53.8%

Team Usage
A: 81.82%
F: 50.36%
S: 46.18%
V: 21.64%

Must say I'm surprised adorables come in third in win/loss record considering their popularity!

Very interesting. Confirms some things I always thought. Like this game is amazingly balanced (except veggies). And... Scally is evil.

I thought the same thing. Adorables are played in more than 4 out of every 5 games and yet they have the weakest record (excluding Veggienauts). Still, overall it's nice to see the game is fairly well balanced amongst the three original teams. It's unfortunate Veggienauts still struggle heavily against Feedback and Scallywags though.

RE: OSN ST Statistics (3/11 to 4/10)
I'm not surprised that much by these statistics, I would have expected adorables to be around 50-55% but that's not the case. The most likely reason for matchups not involving Veggienaughts to be very close to 50% either way is that you can be 'held back' in ranking by the race you play. I felt this when I was majorly playing Feedback, peaking at #37. I have improved since then so that's not thst great an indicator. Another point is, most players will climb so much up until they settle in a slot until their w/l ratio is around 50%, resulting in fairly even ratios.

The large % advantage vs Veggies as Scallys or Feedback is probably due to the extreme lack of players using it as their primary race, over 50% of their league games. Most matches on OSN are of players who are the maining one of the other 3 races, and so is inexperienced with them.

The only statistic I see as strange is A v V being pretty much 50%. Going by what I said above I would expect it to follow a similar trend. My only idea is that as adorables are as popular as they are, the same proportion of Veggie players are main Adorables players and so know that race much better. Or it's just a better matchup. If its a better matchup, I think it's definitely something worth looking into.

RE: OSN ST Statistics (3/11 to 4/10)
I think you're right to note that Outwitters attempts to give players a 50% win/loss. As a result, players reaching Super-Titan or on the borderline between ST and Master will tend to roughly have a 50% w/l regardless of team (the exception being Veggienauts which not many people play as their main). What this means is that one would expect the matchups to be around 50% and that perhaps the more pertinent statistic to consider is number of players who make it to the top with each team.

Judging from the statistics this would imply that Adorables are generally better in the sense that it appears easiest for players to rise to the top with them. However, a higher number of games played by Adorables doesn't necessarily* mean that there are more high-tiered Adorables players. Another reason could be that Adorables players simply play more games than Scallywags or Feedback players. For instance, I wouldn't be surprised if Scallywags players tend to play fewer games each than Adorables players due to the way bombshells work, especially in SvS.

* Though 80%+ games is significant enough to warrant consideration

Did CodePenguin give you access to the data?

RE: OSN ST Statistics (3/11 to 4/10)
Can I ask as I just noticed this trying to calculate the % of individuals that used Adorables in the games rather than % of games that Adorables are featured in. I noticed that the total of all races adds up to 200%, is it possible that the percentages given are of how many times a race is used by an individual? For example:

Team usage
A: 40.91%
F: 25.18%
S: 23.09%
V: 10.82%

I'm not trying to be picky at your figures, I was interested in calcing the amount of individuals using adorables rather than games that feature them. I was going to do this by adding the Team%'s together, working out how much of a shortfall there was from 200%, then was going to proportion the shortfall and distribute it evenly between the teams for an accurate estimate (As the difference between the real total % and 200% would account for mirror matches e.g. Adorables vs Adorables). I found it adding up to 200% exactly though, so that's what I think.

Ah didn't think about that. If players never switched races, due to matchmaking most ppl would average out a 50% win rate.

Another upset for me is FvV, my gut says this is an equal matchup!?

I would say FvV is a tough one for V, since you can't use your thorns without worrying about them being scrambled.
