Season changing doesn't have anything to do with you promoting. Your hidden ranking doesn't change.

I don't have any proof, but I do think that the thresholds are slightly different for your "placement" game to start the new season. I was in gifted at the end of season 1, only to automatically be placed into masters after my first game for season 2. It's possible it would've happened either way, but it seemed that they had a different threshold for that first placement game.

I know, but weird voodoo magic puts me in a horrid losing streak. Happens in every game like Hearthstone, (I will put my account on the thread) when seasons shifted I just died.

I've had a win ratio over 70% for close to a month now and haven't gotten matched with a single master yet . . . it sure is tough to promote.

Keep it up you're close to masters, I went on OSN and clicked on your most recent opponent and then his most recent opponent and on and on, about 4 people down the list he had played a master
