Points matter for personal pride, it encourages active play. I never said that it was an accurate representation of skill.

While it's not a direct correlation to skill. It still represents some sort of competitive spirit. It gives the player some shorter term goal to strive for, and one that he can compete on against others in his division on a more or less equal footing: win the most in your division.

Yep, and who cares about activity. Points don't show the skill and this why I said what I said in my previous post.

To be honest.. I sorta care. I was #2 in Masters last season, but would have really liked #1...

Just to clarify. If season ended in a day i would rather be #1 in gifted vs #50 in masters. All im saying I have no clue how much longer the season has to go but now I have too much work to a position vs just float to #1.

I do: I think he has a valid point, even if it's a higher league, so what? Being #1, or the implied best, is a nice feeling. If you're #50 in the next league, you feel kinda normal.

I just want that ST symbol. It just looks amazing to me. I normally don't care about those things but I see the ST symbol and I think, yes... I want that. Also in ST, you look at standings and all the high ranked top 200 guys are in the middle of the division standings lol

But I agree with what someone else said earlier. I'd rather be the worst player on the Red Sox, then the best on the Paw Sox. (Farm team for you non baseball fans)

Since points represent activity, being 50# in master means you are better than in gifted 1#! I'd rather be a not too active master than an active gifted.
