Since Alan signed up, you get to play me in group play! I'm glad that group play takes the top 2 from each group.

What would you think about doing round-robin between the final 4 instead of eliminations? Here's a little comparison for the final 4:

-               elimination w/ 3rd      round-robin
matches         4                       6
matches/player  2                       3
rounds          2                       1

This helps remove some of the seeding bias for those final players. It should also be faster since all of these games can be in parallel.

Haha wow. I was actually already planning on that just didn't confer with torbreck yet. The brackets I made are actually made to be like that lol.

Yeah - that is a good point - having a grand final over 5 matches was the idea for the grand finale with a big pot at the end.... let me confer with Awpertunity and we'll get back to you.
