This thread is won by being the last person to post. If someone else posts after you, you have momentarily lost. By not posting you have no chance of losing which is closer to winning than the alternative. Therefore it is a valid statement to say that not posting is advantageous to posting.
If it were a ranking, it would look like this:

1. The last person to post in this thread
2. Everyone who did not post in this thread
3. Everyone who posted in this thread except for the last poster
   

This logic is of course limited to people who have not yet posted in this thread and have thereby not yet lost already. Once you have posted in this thread, you are committed to post again and again to increase your chance of winning, which in turn draws attention to the thread and lowers your chance of winning because it increases the chance of someone else posting which again raises your attention to post and the whole vicious cycle starts anew. Houston, we have a conundrum.
