Scoring strategies and technique
Thank goodness I finely found this forum. I love Tilt. high score is like, 158 million? it was a 9.5 minute game. Been able to score over 100 million maybe like 3 times.
anyways, what strategies do you use to create a high score? for me, i go for the worst weapons to start. red bombs, green shields, shoot the purpler laser off to the side. basically trying to get 4 good weapons on the screen. Also at the beginning, i avoid killing red dots. if you start killing right away, you run out of dots and your combo dies. SO i try to let the screen fill up with some dots, have good weapons all lined up, then try to go for the longest combo i can. I guess my main question is, do some weapons provide better combo points? the multiplier is: some number on the left X dead dots. What is the best way to get the first number big? like, if you have the blades, is it a bad move to shoot the screen with a purple laser? does killing dots with one weapon more valuable then others? Basically, i would want to try and kill as many dots as i could with the best scoring weapon. as it stands, i have no idea which weapon would be best. Thanks for any input or tips you might have Sincerely, Puddles from Enjoy Jars |

RE: Scoring strategies and technique
The Indestructible Wall Once heavy is attacked, attack unit back and heal heavy. This technique allows a single contact point so only units on that space can attack, and cannot be attacked more than once in a turn. Make sure you have a runner so you know when to deploy intense action. Weaknesses: - Wit Supply Low - Sniper - Bombshell - Scrambler - Mobi w/ unit - In rare occasions, Bramble Oops, was this supposed to be only Tilt to Live strategies? I didn't read the beginning post. hmmmm, looks like this thread is already getting hijacked..
Also, my high scores were reached without using the turret gun... |

RE: Scoring strategies and technique
Killing dots with different weapons doesn't make a difference score wise. However, there are the certain things you want, like you said, for the combos. I think the idea of a running combo just needs you to not demolish everything on the screen.
Doowhat? Doodat? Okey:3 1v1 - Peak #32 // Current #56 as AlliDooisRush 2v2 - w/jesusfuentesh #7 2v2 - w/baustin #17 // w/Juslas #85 // Randoms #38 |
